Tutoring (math, reading, homework): meet with the same student(s) every week or "float" in a classroom, after-school program or summer program. Materials provided.

Mentoring: One-on-one, small groups. Academic, social, interest or career focus.

Small Groups: Academic, career-focused or social; based on need, career aptitude or interests (instrumental or vocal music, sports, arts & crafts, drama, etc.).

Other: Support a site with clerical help, data entry, phone calling, copying, filing, recruiting, website maintenance, food preparation, fundraising, spiffing up spaces, special events.
Schools, Sites and Agencies. There are several schools, neighborhood sites and agencies to choose from. Available time slots include school day, after school, evenings and weekends.

About the Students. Students are 6th, 7th or 8th graders of all ability levels who need or want academic or other support or who need someone to help them see a connection between middle school and their future.

Requirements. Registration, background checks and an orientation are required of new volunteers. Details here.
